The S5 Ariel Vacuum comes standard with the combination floor tool which is perfect for bare floors and low nap carpeting . This vaccum is your entry model in the S5 Galaxy Series Vacuum at an appealing price of $519.

Our recommendation: For use for bare floors and area rugs.

Hard Floors: The Olympus includes the SBD350 Floor Tool making it an excellent vacuum for hard floors.

	A Super Air Clean Filter This comes standard in the Miele Ariel Vacuum. This filter performs at 99.95% removal of particles down to 0.5 of a micron and 94% of particles down to 0.3 of a micron. You may upgrade to the ACC-30 Charcoal filter for odor control or the AH-50 HEPA filter for 99.99% particle removal down to 0.3 of a micron.
	Rotary Dial Controls Suction on this model is controlled by adjusting the dial located on the base of the machine. Six variable settings allow you to adjust the 1200 watt Vortex Motor System™, to the level of suction you desire for your flooring.
	Footswitch Cord Rewind and Power On/off The power on the Miele Ariel is turned on via a footswitch positioned on the base of the machine. Simply tap this button with your foot to quickly and easily turn the machine off or on.
	Long Retractable Cord A footswitch is located on the base of the machine to utilize the automatic cord rewind. It is recommended that you guide the cord in by providing a little resistance and not allow it to forcefully rewind. By doing this you will contribute to the longevity of the part.
	Included Accessories Standard on the S5 Series Miele Canister vacuums are the onboard storage of the included accessories. These accessories include; the natural bristle dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, and crevice tool. To access these items push the black button in that is located below the full bad indicator.
	Telescoping Wand with Quick Connect System The stainless steel telescopic wand provides an adjustable length from 24" to 40 3/4". To modify the length there is a push button on the side of the wand where the two sections meet, push that button and you will be able to push/pull the two ends away/closerfrom each other until you achieve the desired length. Straight suction tools are attached and secured in at the end of the wand. No electronic or motorized floor tools are compatible with this wand system.
	GN Airclean Dust Bags 4.8 qt G/N Airclean Dustbags are designed with 9 layers of filtration, Miele's Dust Bags are the envy of other manufactures. The reinforced stitching prevents the bags from breaking or tearing while the auto sealing opening prevents any accidental spilling when you eject the bag.
	Crush Resistant Hose Just like the vacuum, the hose is built to last. Strong, yet flexible, the hose is crush resistant and securely attaches to the machine. The hose and the connection have been thoroughly tested by Miele to withstand the rigors of constant home use.
	Rug and Floor Tool The Miele Ariel comes standard with the SBD350-3 Floor Tool which will work well on hard floors and low, smooth nap carpeting. Designed to not scratch your delicate flooring, the SBD350-3 has an foot activated switch (mouse over the image to view) that allows you to extend bristles for light agitation.
	Two Integrated Wand Holders When not in use you can attach the wand to either the back or the bottom of the machine making it simple to store or move the machine. (Move your mouse over the image for alternate attachment image.)
	Standard Handle With the S5 Ariel is a lightweight ergonomic handle that has a release valve which allows you to adjust the suction.
	Large Carrying Handle To make mobility easier from room to room, the Ariel is equipped with a large handle on the base of the canister. Near this handle is the clip that is lifted to access the bag on the inside of the canister.
	360 Degree Wheels The easy gliding, full range of motion wheels allow you to vacuum with maximum stability and maneuverability. The wheels even have raised gliders on both sides of the wheel to help you overcome objects such as cords or to transition between floor types.
	Upgradeable Design The Miele S5 Ariel can be supplemented to use a motorized floor tool to be used with the machine. A separate purchase of an electric wand, hose, and floor tool would be required to complete the upgrade.
