Miele S5 Earth Vacuum

The S5 Earth Canister Vacuum comes standard with the SEB-217 Motorized Floor Brush and the SBB300-3 bare floor tool; these tools are designed for bare floors and medium to high pile carpeting. Unique to the Earth is the AutoEco™ electronic controls described below. This machine includes HEPA filtration and two separate tools for bare floor or carpet vacuuming.

	Sealed System™ Miele S5 Canister vacuums feature a Miele's Sealed System™ and a unique insulation that makes this series easier on the ears than the Miele S2 and S4 series canisters. The Sealed System™, paired with HEPA filtration and Active Air dust bags provides clean, hygienic air expelled from the exhaust vent.
	AH-50 Galaxy Series HEPA Filter This comes standard in the Miele Pisces Vacuum. This Active H.E.P.A filter performs at 99.99% particle removal down to 0.3 of a micron.
	GN Airclean Dust Bags 4.8 qt G/N Airclean Dustbags are made with 9 layers of purification, Miele's Dust Bags are the envy of other manufactures.  The reinforced stitching prevents the bags from ripping or tearing while the auto sealing opening prevents any accidental spilling during bag removal. An orange slide will indicate loss of suction as shown on the mouse over view, when this area turns orange this typically means the dustbag is full.
	AutoEco™ Controls Unique to the Miele Earth is the AutoEco™ suction control setting for adjusting the 1200 watt Vortex Motor System™. When this setting is selected the machine will automatically switch to the appropriate suction level for the flooring. With the machine doing the adjusting for you, energy can be saved when the machine does not need to be at the maximum suction level. Should you need to make manual adjustments there are the footswitch +/- controls to choose the minimal suction setting and the maximum suction level. A feature that is only on select Miele vacuums is the Motor overheat indicator light, shown on the left, that will illuminate should the motor require some time to cool off. Next to this icon is the Reset button for the machine.
	Footswitch Power On/off To turn the Earth on or off, tap the power Button located on the base of the machine with your foot.
	Long Retractable Cord A footswitch is located on the base of the machine to use the automatic cord rewind as shown on the mouse overview. It is recommended that you guide the cord in by providing a little resistance and not allowing it to forcefully rewind. By doing so you will preserve the longevity of the part.
	Included Accessories Standard on the S5 Series Miele Canister vacuums are the onboard storage of the accessories. These accessories include; the natural bristle dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, and crevice tool. To access these items push the black button located below the full bag indicator.
	Deluxe Ergonomic Handle The S5 Earth features Miele's Deluxe ergonomic handle. The comfort grip handle has an on/off switch for quick control for the power to the brushbar.
	Telescoping Wand with Quick Connect System The stainless steel telescopic wand features an adjustable length from 24" to 40 3/4". To adjust the length there is a push button on the side of the wand where the two sections meet, push the button and you will be able to push/pull the two ends away/closer from each other until you have the desired length.  Floor tools are attached and locked in at the bottom end of the wand.
	Crush Resistant Hose Just like the vacuum, the hose is built to last.  Strong, yet resilient, the hose is crush resistant and securely attaches to the machine.  The hose and the connection have been thoroughly tested by Miele to withstand the rigors of constant home use.
	SEB217-3 Motorized Floor Tool The brushbar on this floor tool is driven by a motor located in the floor tool itself. Like on the STB205 Airdriven floor tool, the bristles are long and soft, the difference is when these bristles are raking through thicker carpeting they will not decrease the speed of the brushbar providing a more efficient clean. If you are seeking a thorough clean on carpeted surfaces, consider upgrading to the stiffer bristle floor tools such as the SEB228 or SEB236.
	SBB300-3 Bare Floor tool This floor tool is made with soft bristles for safe and effective use on all smooth floor surfaces. A pivoting neck makes this tool easy to navigate through the tight spaces.
	Two Integrated Wand Holders With Park and Pause Feature When not in use you can attach the wand to either the back or the bottom of the machine making it easy to store or move the machine. The Park and Pause feature will pause the motor and brushbar when your place the floor tool on the holders as shown on the pictures.
	Large Carrying Handle To move this machine from room to room, the Libra features with a large handle on the base of the canister. Near this handle is the clip that is lifted to access the bag on the inside of the canister.
	360 Degree Wheels The easy gliding, full range of motion wheels allow you to vacuum with maximum stability and maneuverability.  The wheels have raised gliders on either side of the wheel to help you move over objects such as cords or to transition between floor types.
