The Miele S5 Libra Vacuum is the most affordable S5 Vacuum that includes a motorized floor tool. Included with this model is the SEB-217 Floor tool for use on low to medium pile carpeting and the SBB300-3 Parquet floor tool for use on bare floors. This model can be upgraded to the SEB228 or the SEB236 to provide a deeper cleaning carpet floor tool, (additional charges apply).

Our recommendation: For use on bare floors, and low to medium pile carpets.

	Sealed System™ Miele S5 Canister vacuums feature a Miele's Sealed System™ and a unique insulation layer that makes this series more hushed than the Miele S2 and S4 series canisters. The Sealed System™, along with HEPA filtration and Active AirClean dust bags allows clean, allergenic-free air dispelled from the exhaust vent.
	AH-50 Galaxy Series HEPA Filter This comes standard in the Miele Libra Vacuum. This Active H.E.P.A filter performs at 99.99% particle removal down to 0.3 of a micron.
	GN Airclean Dust Bags 4.8 qt G/N Airclean Dustbags are designed with 9 layers of filtration, Miele's Dust Bags are the envy of other manufactures. The reinforced stitching prevents the bags from ripping or tearing while the auto sealing opening prevents any accidental spilling when you remove the bag.
	Rotary Dial Controls Suction on this model is controlled by adjusting the dial located on the base of the machine. Six different settings allow you to adjust the 1200 watt Vortex Motor System™, to the level of suction you desire for your flooring.
	Vortex Motor System™ The S5 Miele canisters equipped with the 1200 watt Vortex Motor System™. This strong motor system optimizes airflow and is surprisingly quiet.
	Footswitch Cord Rewind and Power On/off The power on the Miele Ariel is turned on via a footswitch located on the base of the vacuum. Simply tap this button with your foot to quickly and easily turn the machine off or on.
	Long Retractable Cord A footswitch is located on the base of the machine to use the automatic cord rewind. It is recommended that you guide the cord in by providing slight resistance and preventing it to forcefully rewind. By doing this you will contribute to the longevity of the part.
	Deluxe Ergonomic Handle The S5 Libra features Miele's Deluxe ergonomic handle. This comfort grip handle has an on/off switch to quickly control the power to the brushbar.
	Telescoping Wand with Quick Connect System The stainless steel telescopic wand provides an adjustable length from 24" to 40 3/4". To adjust the length there is a push button on the side of the wand where the two sections meet, push that button and you will be able to push/pull the two ends away/closer from each other until you have the desired length. Floor tools are attached and secured at the end of the wand.
	Crush Resistant Hose Just like the vacuum, the hose is built to last. Strong, yet resilient, the hose is crush resistant and securely attaches to the machine. The hose and the connection have been thoroughly tested by Miele to persevere the rigors of constant home use.
	SEB217-3 Motorized Floor Tool The brushbar on this floor tool is driven by a motor positioned within the floor tool itself. Like on the STB205 Airdriven floor tool, the bristles are long and soft, the difference is when these bristles are raking through thicker carpeting they will not decrease the speed of the brushbar providing a more time and power efficient clean. If you are seeking a deeper clean on carpeted surfaces, contemplate upgrading to the stiffer bristle floor tools such as the SEB228 or SEB236.
	SBB300-3 Bare Floor tool This floor tool is made with soft bristles for safe and effective use on all smooth floor surfaces. A pivoting neck makes this tool maneuverable, with the ease of use.
	Included Accessories Standard on the S5 Series Miele Canister vacuums are the onboard storage of the included accessories. These accessories are comprised of; the natural bristle dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, and crevice tool. To access these items depress the black button that is located below the full bag indicator.
	Two Integrated Wand Holders When not in use you can attach the wand to either the back or the bottom of the machine making it easy to store or to move the vaccum.
	Large Carrying Handle To move this machine from room to room, the Libra is equipped with a large handle on the base of the canister. Near this handle is the clip that is lifted to access the bag on the inside of the canister.
	360 Degree Wheels The easy gliding, full range of motion wheels allow you to vacuum with maximum stability and maneuverability. The wheels even have raised gliders on both sides of the wheel to help you overcome objects such as cords or to transition between floor types.
